Charities that support veterans have been a passion for Horizon Retail Construction for the past two years.
In 2016, hundreds of non-perishable food items were collected for Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin. Since that time, employees have been collecting food and supplies for veterans living at its James A. Peterson Veteran Village.
The village, a collection of 15 tiny homes, houses veterans who need help getting back on their feet after being homeless.
In addition to supplies and food, Horizon President Patrick Christensen is contributing money to support Veterans Outreach.
“We want to go beyond merely saying ‘Thank you for your service,” Christensen said. “We want to show veterans who have served our country how much that service means to all of us. Veterans Outreach does tremendous work and is a great charity for us to support.”
