Project Spotlight: Zaffiro’s
Horizon Retail Construction has recently completed a full remodel of Zaffiro’s restaurant, located inside North Shore Cinema in Mequon, Wisconsin. The project started in the beginning of October and was completed just in time for the holiday seasons. Lasting 8 weeks, the project consisted of many inimitable features.
The remodel began with a full demo, creating a blank canvas for Zaffiro’s newly designed layout. The original vestibule was moved to the exterior of the building in order to expand interior space. The project included relocating and installing a new full bar complete with overhanging TVs, under cabinet lighting and rustic wood framing. Large wood beams can be found across the celling complimenting the custom colored concrete ceiling tiles. The TV matrix wall, consisting of 9 synced televisions, creates a contemporary stadium feel while the brick and custom blend reclaimed wood walls help balance it with a warm, modern farmhouse style. Project Manager, Abi Sokolowski, shared that the wood accents mixed with the vintage fixtures and décor were her favorite elements of this project. “These features give off a sense of naturalness, making the place feel comfortable and inviting,” she stated. Horizon is excited to have been a part of the Mequon Zaffiro’s and we look forward to completing more projects in the near future.
